Welcome to the Ghazali Shafie Graduate School of Government (GSGSG), College of Law, Government and International Studies (COLGIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

It gives me great pleasure to welcome all prospective students, current students, alumni, academic partners, researchers and visitors to our graduate school. GSGSG is proud to serve as a centre for advanced learning, research and intellectual development in the fields of government, public administration, law, international studies and related areas of strategic importance.

As a graduate school, our mission is not only to provide postgraduate education, but also to nurture future leaders, scholars, policymakers and professionals who are capable of contributing meaningfully to society, the nation and the global community. We believe that postgraduate education must go beyond the acquisition of knowledge. It must cultivate critical thinking, ethical leadership, innovation, professionalism and a deep sense of responsibility towards the public good.

At GSGSG, we are committed to providing a learning environment that is intellectually stimulating, peaceful, supportive and competitive. Situated within the green and serene campus of Universiti Utara Malaysia, our students are given the opportunity to pursue their studies in an environment that encourages focus, reflection and academic excellence. We continuously strive to provide the facilities, academic support and institutional guidance needed to help students complete their studies successfully and develop into competent, dedicated and responsive members of society.

Our academic programmes are designed to meet the needs of a changing world. In an era shaped by globalisation, digital transformation, complex governance challenges and rapid social change, postgraduate students must be equipped with knowledge that is relevant, practical and forward-looking.
